Inis Meáin Storm Jacket is inspired by the jackets once knitted for men working outdoors in all weathers.
The stylish extra layer of knit on the shoulders originates in patches designed for warmth and protection when carrying a currach and other fishing equipment; after every expedition the boat, gear and precious catch were hauled by hand to safety.
Pockets add functionality to this classically elegant style.
100% merino wool for warmth without unnecessary weight, finished with real horn buttons.
Made and hand-finished by Inis Meáin in the Aran Islands, Ireland.

Inis Meáin Storm Jacket
This garment is made using Extra Fine Merino Wool. This yarn has a characteristic crimp making it susceptible to pilling over time. To protect against pilling do not wear underneath other woolen layers or velcros and do not over-wash. Hand wash in water no more than 30 degrees using a mild detergent. Lay on a flat surface to dry.
